    Description

    NEW PRICE
This is the first BMFC reed motor imported in 1975 built for Lake Speed. Only two engines ever imported into the USA.
This motor was developed under top secret conditions to be introduced at the 1975 Quincy Pro Go Kart Race. The engine was built for and raced by Lake Speed. The second engine was built for Lynne Haddock and was also introduced at that Pro Race in August 1975. The engine for sale dominated with exceptional performance and started the flood of imported reed engines over the next several years. This motor was the first 100cc engine to develop 11.5 foot pounds of toque at 9,000RPM and still produce high power up to 18,000RPM. This engine was only raced in 1975 several times including dyno time at APPCO under the close eye of Dan Lumello. The engine was completely rebuilt and dyno tested and placed in protected storage. It features the best components during the rebuild and is in race ready condition. This is truly a museum piece of karting history.
