    Description

    2 Old Thai wenge loom shuttles. One was used for hand weaving and the other is a flying shuttle used in a semi automatic loom. The wood is unusual, I am pretty sure a type of wenge, you can see the black and white striping (mostly black). This wood is usually associated with Africa. But this is a Thai wenge, genus Millettia, because I know these shuttles came from Thailand. It is pretty heavy wood, and quite pretty.
    Condition is Used. The ages are ~50-80 years old. (I have owned them for 15 years.) Please also see my other listings for old teak and rosewood shuttles.
